The 2009 JDM Junior Tennis Tournament was a wonderful success.
The visitors enjoyed themselves, particularly the American Juniors - some of whom chose to stay at Sundridge Park on the Saturday rather than go on a trip up to London! There is a strong likelihood that we will be favoured when planning their trip next year.
Thanks to Jason Baker, Eunice Baker and Hazel Hayden for all their work organising the tournament, plus the team from our Club - Don Weir, Betty Simms and Sue Paton.

''Sundridge Tennis Club is a wonderful piece of heaven. The English children were so warm and friendly to our group. The hospitality, including the food, was spectacular. Thanks so much for making our UK Grand Slam Tennis programme a smashing success!"

“The club was my favorite part of the trip. Everyone is extremely friendly and polite. The tennis courts are amazing. If I lived here, I would spend all day at the Club drinking squash and having a blast!!”
Andrew Gordon aka "Red Hat", Texas
Robinson’s orange squash was a big hit with many of them; they don’t have it in the US and many bottles went back in the luggage!
“I feel I had a fun and memorable experience at Sundridge. I enjoyed the facilities. One of my favorite parts was meeting all the new people that I did. I hope to keep in touch with these people, and continue to communicate with them. The only thing I would change, if anything, was the playing on the grass courts. I would hope to spend more time on them, because a lot of us from the States have never got a chance to play on grass. But besides that everything was great!! Especially the food! The food was well prepared and tasted excellent. I am glad I had this opportunity to play this tournament and to meet all the new people I did.”
