New Coaching Arrangements

Temporary arrangements for Tennis coaching

Following the resignation of the Club’s coaching team, we would like to reassure

everybody that everything is being done to make temporary coaching facilities

available to both junior and adult members as soon as possible.  We have received

offers of support from other clubs and coaches and hope to announce the details soon.

We will try to make this temporary arrangement fit the current coaching times.

In the longer term we have advertised for a new Head Coach who is prepared to

organise and run a coaching programme that will fit the requirements of our

unique club.  It will be an excellent opportunity for the right person and we already

have some applicants.  However, it is imperative that the right person is chosen and

it will take time to ensure that the correct choice is made.

Our Chairman is speaking to the LTA about our Performance programme.  We are

also looking at involving the Club in the KCLTA Academy Programme for juniors

of varying standards.  There will be a Notice on the board very soon regarding the Road to Wimbledon Competition.

We will have an Open Day on 5th May and would like volunteers for leaflet

distribution (please contact Susan Finch  email: sundridgepark@tiscali.co.uk).  We

hope many of you will come on the day to offer a warm welcome to prospective new

members and join in a game of tennis or squash with them.    We will have an all-day

barbeque and tea and cakes available in the afternoon.  The programme will include

squash events and we hope to arrange a  tennis exhibition match.  Bring your friends.

It’s going to be a great day.

We have a great club at Sundridge and the potential to move forward and progress

in a very positive way.  We ask for your patience whilst the right coach is

found.  Our aim is to achieve this as soon as possible.
