Well, what a great start to the year it’s been ! Courts 1 and 2 cleaned and repainted thanks to club members working parties – for those who think that these are hard work look at Phil’s update on the refurbishment and the last working party ! Club refurbishment well on the way – men’s changing rooms refurbished, hot showers, kitchen and club lounge looking really smart, new plasma TV. Plus Simon Morrell and family kindly sponsoring Sky for the year.

And, more importantly, our new members - over the last few months we’ve managed to attract over 29 members (see the latest newsletter where they’re named and shamed !)

And we’re so lucky in that our new members are such really very friendly people, (all new best mates!) active members, playing in leagues, team games and friendlies. Also a fair proportion are lady members – a special welcome to you all!

So, the club’s going from strength to strength!

The First team’s winning, The Fat Chef continues to produce marvellous food, Steve’s barbecues on a Friday night are brilliant and SPARKS, the Charity for Kids in need, continues to benefit from our social and sports events.

And looking to the future? Well, the ladies changing rooms are next to be renovated, Courts 3 and 4 are to be cleaned and repainted by working parties to take place on a monthly basis, Gary ‘Ever so sorry mate, I really promise to be there tomorrow’Church’s 2^nd Inaugural Squash Doubles Competition on July 28^th, Social events, Singles and Handicap and Veterans tournaments….on line Court booking system perhaps…..
