September Open Day

Update on Open Day 8th September.

To introduce our new tennis coaches, Richard Whichello, Billy McManus, Nick Greenhouse and Jake Johnson an Open Day took place on 8th September and was a great success.   We have recruited 30 new members in various categories.  8 of these are tennis and 2 are squash and tennis;  3 are squash and the rest are juniors or social.  It was a good opportunity for existing members and prospective new members to see our coaches at work and get to know them a little better.

Junior tennis coaching took place in the morning: 5 – 16 year olds and adult coaching - beginners and intermediate in the afternoon.  The club was buzzing and the sun was shining.

Squash coaching and exhibition squash matches took place in the afternoon.

We had our usual excellent BBQ and cakes and thanks are due to Steve and Susan Spinks and Nan Casey.  Also a big thank you toVince Grima for doing the posters once again.

We would like to welcome all our new members and make them feel at home.  Please do introduce yourselves to existing members and try to arrange a game. Through this and forthcoming social events and tournaments, hopefully it won’t be long before you feel very much part of the club.
