Norah Davies died 26 August exactly a month after her 84th birthday. 

Norah’s love for tennis and for Sundridge Park was inexhaustible.  She was a member of the tennis committee for a great many years and tirelessly and with great enthusiasm organised not only the annual winter and summer tournaments, but also numerous ad hoc tournaments.  Her generosity knew no bounds.   Norah played in the teams and took part in the tournaments virtually from the day she joined in the 60’s, and social tennis until she was 79 when ill health put a stop to her playing tennis.

Her family has suggested that anyone who wants to make donations should make their cheque payable to SPLT & SRC or to Mariska Adamson, marked on the reverse with “Norah Davies fund” and leave it behind the bar at the club.  In due course the fund will be used for a suitable memorial for Norah to the benefit of the club at the same time.
